I'm Kanoa Arteaga, and I'm a māhū (trans) person originally from the SF Bay Area, currently living in occupied Tonkawa/Comanche land, commonly known as Austin, Texas. I have founded and directed multiple organizations aimed at uplifting the lives of queer and trans BIPOC in both Texas and California.
As a subject matter expert on LGBTQ issues, DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) and masculinity studies, I believe in grounding my work in joy, creating partnerships with a purpose, and always striving for measurable outcomes.
